Its ok

This could've been a lot more than the final product would suggest.

Not enough levels
No save/replay function
No variety in the 'upgrades'

In short, if I personally had made this, i'd temporarily remove and entry, work at it again for another couple months and re-post it.

This has all the groundwork done of making a very fun addictive game, in its current form its just average and at times frustrating, however the frustration gives no replay value at all.

An alright game

The walkthrough is unfortunately necessary otherwise you'd spend all day repeating the same 2 minute segment.

Looked good, play badly though

Control are very clunky and awkward (once you'd free'd your hands, why not remove the AS entirely? )

Well...

TBH i do not know how this got as high scoring as it did... it was repetitive unclear and not even very funny, i think i laughed 2 through the whole thing.

Its nice, but does it deserve 7th?... no

Great simplicity

Simple game, well executed.

Completed with a score of '5 days'

Good, but flawed, heres a minor walkthrough

Level 1 - Nothing you can do here except run and jump like hell and hope for the best

Level 2 - Stay fully to the R/H side of the screen, no blocks will crush you.

Level 3 - After the 1st 10 seconds, just sit directly on the top of the circle, no spikes will get you

Level 4 - Its a little bit unclear what to do to win this, so i'll simplify it, go through the motions of avoiding the waves and the boss himself, then at the end of the tune segment he'll change colour, jump on his head mario style, repeat the process twice more and you win.

Won game with 9 lifes spare.

Well...

Having received an SP30 just before Christmas, i give this game 10/10... very satisfying.

Best defense game on NG

beats all other contenders into the ground.

Great simple idea very well executed.

The difficulty (dispite some peoples complaints) i feel is very good and balanced.

I re-itterate someones earlier comments on hotkeys... would be useful for glue and tacks.

Took me a while to complete on hard, few changes of tactics etc. but once i was there it wasn't too bad.

***SPOILER***

My hard game tactic was starting with boomerang's with multishot (sonic boom is a waste of cash) get about 3-4 of them then get 2-3 bomb towers (upgraded shot, dont bother with distance) then make as many boomerangs as possible with the multi shot.

For the last 10 levels (40+) have atleast 7 tacks down on each side of the exits (i used about 30 tacks for the right exit on the last level ((only had 1 left after level)).

So in short, this is possible on 2 towers, the key is quantity, placement and tacks... lots of them.

(Ps - dont overkill on tacks either, they cost twice as much as they make).

(PPS - Never found this 'cheat')

*** END OF SPOILERS***

Great sequel to towers 1, personally i think these are better than the bloons games.

Awaiting towers 3 with glee.

If i could make a humble suggestion, try adding a level customisation option on 3, ie set amount of cash, levels, balloons etc.

KUDOS!

cool fun

shame the physics dont make much sense at times.

great game

shame people have already hacked and glitched it.

so it kinda sucks.

The Best defence game of this type

The only real competitors to this game are 'Onslaught 2' and 'The Last Stand'.

The last stand although an excellent game, is not of this particular 'defence' type and is only a fringe mention.

Reasons why this game is better than onslaught 2 and should be rated better than Onslaught 2 (in comparison)

1 - Making money is easier as the game progresses.
2 - The AS is far better (you'll notice that the monkeys aim for the most dangerous balloons rather than OS2's random 'nearest')
3 - This game has sound, which albeit basic, actually has some.
4 - This game is beatable, but with a little skill.
5 - This game is a lot simpler.
6 - Is far far far far more addictive
7 - Has a good building level of difficulty (with 1 or 2 minor mad exceptions).
8 - Although it has less 'weapons' than OS2, the ones you have and the basic upgrading makes it far easier to work/figure out.

And thats about it....

I beat it in 3 attempts, had 38 lives remaining and only lost those on level 5ish.

(Note for anyone struggling - Pin towers are very good, My overall set up was about 15 pin towers all maxed out and all in close range of the 1st bend, 2 regular monkeys and 3 super monkeys... worked a charm, hardly any effort after level 40)

Personally, i dont rate the ice/bomb, cost a bit and do very little.

Well, here i am, a lone voice in a crazy world... be kind to a kind man as I am not well in the head.
